What is Cookidoo® Assistant and how does it work?
Cookidoo® Assistant is a digital helper powered by artifical intelligence within the Cookidoo® app that helps Thermomix® TM5®, TM6® or TM7™ through natural, conversational interactions. It understands written prompts or dictated input and responds with personalised suggestions. For example, finding recipes and inspiration, planning meals for "My Week", adding recipe ingredients to the shopping list, or comparing nutritional values. You can interact with it in different ways: choose one of the suggested prompts, type your own message, or use your keyboard’s microphone to dictate. Once you send your request, Cookidoo® Assistant processes it and offers the most suitable guidance based on your needs.
Where can I use Cookidoo® Assistant?
Currently the AI feature is only available in the Cookidoo® app (iOS, Android), but not on Web and on the Thermomix® device. On the «For You» page you will find a green AI button. By tapping there, the Cookidoo® Assistant opens.
What are the main features of Cookidoo® Assistant?
Cookidoo® Assistant understands natural-language requests via both text and voice input and suggests tailored recipes and recommendations based on your needs- ingredients you have, dietary needs or inspiration for everyday cooking or special occasions. It can also compare options by nutritional content such as proteins, carbs, and calories. Adding recipes to "My Week", your shopping list or your bookmarks is now easy like never before. Simply ask Cookidoo® Assistant, and your AI sous chef handles it for you.

What are the requirements to be able to use Cookidoo® Assistant?
To use Cookidoo® Assistant, you need an active Cookidoo subscription. Once your subscription is active, the Assistant appears automatically in the Cookidoo app and is ready to use — no extra setup is required. You will need the latest app version - usually these updates happen automatically, but if it doesn't (or is deactivated in the settings) you can visit your Appstore/Playstore and update the App manually.

Why didn’t you include voice control or built-in AI in the device itself? You just launched TM7™ - wasn’t this the moment?
Voice control and embedded AI require significant technical, safety, and compliance considerations. With TM7™, we focused on evolving the platform through software, intelligence, and digital features that can grow over time. This gives customers more long-term value without making existing hardware obsolete. At the moment, Cookidoo® Assistant is used where it creates the greatest impact: inspiration, planning, and recipe exploration. That’s why its natural home right now is the Cookidoo® App, where users already search, plan, and discover. Large language models cannot run on the device itself.
We continue to explore different interaction models, including voice-based support, but only in ways that meet our safety, usability, and brand standards. This allows us to innovate consistently and responsibly while keeping Thermomix® TM7™ future-ready.
Is an internet connection required for Cookidoo® Assistant to work?
Yes, Cookidoo® Assistant requires an internet connection to work, as it relies on online services to provide its functionality.
If the device is offline or Cookidoo® is not connected to the internet, Cookidoo Assistant will not be available.
What is the cross-language search? Will these filters affect only Cookidoo® Assistant results or also "Explore" page?
Cross-language search means that Cookidoo® Assistant can search for recipes across different languages. For example, you can ask it to search through Spanish and German recipes, and it will look across those languages and return relevant results. The cross-language search filters apply only to Cookidoo® Assistant results and do not impact the Explore page results.
How long will the filters on Cookidoo® Assistant remain?
The filters apply only to the current conversation. A new conversation resets them to the default search preferences.
