Learn more about the TM7's maintenance-free Vorwerk synchronised motor, its power and its improved noise level. This article also provides insights into the ambient light indicator that signals the TM7's operation, as well as its safety mechanisms and features like self-cooling and automatic shutdown to prevent overheating.
What type of motor does the TM7 use?
The TM7 is equipped with maintenance-free Vorwerk synchronized motor with 500 W power. We have improved the noise level of the motor with the new generation. While the motor is working, this is shown by the ambilight colour. A device operation (heating and/or knife rotation) is indicated by a flashing ambient light. The colour of the ambient light is indicating the bowl temperature regardless of any operation.
What indicators show that the TM7 is functioning, given its quiet operation?
The LED light bar at the back top of the display is the perfect indication of the status of TM7. If the ambient light is flashing, TM7 is in operation (heating and/or knife rotation). A steady light indicates the the TM7 is switched on but not performing a cooking operation. The colour of the ambient light indicates the bowl temperature. Green is shown up to 45°C. The colour changes from green to yellow ~60°C to red up to 80°C. Above 80°C it remains red."
Why does the motor sometimes stop and restart?
This allows the TM to clear any potential knife blockages.
Why does the TM7 move slightly during operation?
When preparing dough or chopping food, an imbalance can develop in the mixing bowl which, under certain circumstances, may cause the whole TM7 to move.
Do not, therefore, leave the TM7 unattended while it is operating as it might fall from work surface (see manual).
How long can the motor run at level 10 without damage?
The motor can run continuously at level 10 for extended periods without risk, as it is equipped with temperature monitoring that will automatically shut it off to prevent overheating. Following the operational guidelines ensures there's no risk of damage.
Is the TM7's motor self-cooling?
Yes, the TM7's motor has an integrated self-cooling function that activates during operation to maintain optimal performance.
