There is no limit on the Cookidoo® website, however, if you want to order ingredients online there is a limit of approx. 100 items or 10 recipes.
Is any personal data shared with other companies or websites? None of the user's personal data is shared. Only the shopping list details that are required to fill the retailer's shopping cart are shared with the retailer. Any data you enter on the retailer’s website is covered by their privacy policy.
How are the products selected? The product suggested will be the closest weight or volume to the required ingredient to reduce waste. If there are multiple options, the suggestion will be a popular mid-range product.
Is there a minimum order amount?
Yes. In most cases, there is a minimum order amount and in certain cases, delivery is free of charge. It varies retailer by retailer. Please check their websites for further details about orders, payments, and deliveries.
What if I can’t find the product I want, or that is specified in the recipe?
Unfortunately, the availability of products is specific to the retailer so you might check different retailers available in your area or look in "Tips and tricks" on the recipe detail page to see if there are alternative ingredients.
The system suggested the wrong ingredient for the recipe I wanted to cook, and I purchased it. Can I get a refund?
We recommend checking that all products match the desired shopping list as if you were in the supermarket. Refund varies retailer by retailer. Please review the return policy from the respective retailer as you might be able to swap or get a refund.
What if I do not have an account with one of the offered retailers?
Normally it is required to create a new account. In most cases, it is possible to do it free of charge. Please check the details on the retailer’s website.
My order did not arrive or was damaged. Who do I call?
Please check the details on your chosen retailer’s website or call their customer service line directly.
The retailer I usually buy my food from is not an option on your list. Will you be adding more retailers in the future?
We select our partners based on their ability to operate efficiently online as well as based on their geographic coverage. We are always looking to add new retailers to our list and will let you know whenever a new partner is available.
Do I pay extra for delivery, how much are the delivery costs?
Delivery cost depends on each retailer individually. Please check the details on your chosen retailer’s website or call their customer service line directly.
Is there an additional charge for using online ingredient ordering?
For using the Online ingredient ordering no additional charges are made. However, depending on the selected retailer, the delivery costs, minimum order amounts, or other restrictions might apply.
Can I order directly from the Cookidoo® platform without creating an account on the retailer’s website?
No, unfortunately, a separate account for each retailer is required.
If I buy many times the same ingredient, is there a way to save your preferences in the system?
Unfortunately, this feature is currently not available.
The product could not be matched with the retailer. What can I do?
In case the product cannot be matched, it is possible that you still can find the product by performing a manual search. If not, it might be an option to try another retailer.
Are general pantry items (salt, sugar, oil) added to my shopping basket with each order?
If you have not marked them as existing in your Cookidoo® shopping list, then items we consider pantry items will be matched to a product but will be greyed out and have an order quantity of zero. Therefore, if you do need them you can easily add them to your order by increasing the quantity.
What happens if the customer wants to order the items from different official retailers? (price-wise, time delivery-wise, etc.)
It is possible to order from more than one official retailer but most probably it will generate additional delivery costs. Please check the details on your chosen retailer’s website or call their customer service line directly.
Can I split my shopping list and order certain products in one store, and others in another?
You can do this manually, but unfortunately, there is currently no feature to automate this process.
What are the common technical problems that could occur in the process? (e.g. link to the website, confusion when ordering through a different retailer website). How to fix it?
• You may be asked to enter your retailer’s credentials more than once while ordering, this is to ensure the ingredients are securely passed into your account.
• If clicking on the “order ingredients” button produces no reaction, please refresh your browser window.
• If your window freezes or is inactive for more than 30 seconds you may have too many recipes in your shopping list. Try removing one and try again.
