The state of California imposes an Electronic Waste Recycling (E-Waste) Fee on certain electronic products containing video display screens. The Thermomix® TM6™ is subject to this fee.
Any TM6™ purchase that is shipped to an address within California is subject to a non-taxable E-Waste fee of $4.00 per TM6™ Unit. An E-waste fee does not apply to a TM6™ purchase shipped to a location outside of California (even if the billing address is within California). If for any reason, you happen to return the TM6™, the $4.00 E-Waste fee will also be refunded to you.
This Fee is paid directly to the state of California to offset the cost of properly recycling covered items. It is important to note that the CEW recycling fee is not a deposit. The covered products do not contain "redemption value."
E-Waste fees are subject to change by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA).
